Aunt April and the kiddos at the Reunion
Our friends threw a New Years Eve party complete with a babysitter to watch the kids. It was super crazy and super fun. It was great to visit with a bunch of our good friends. And we were so close we could drop the kids off back at the condo and walk on over. That Friday, we headed a bit further south for a big family reunion/retirement party/farewell. My Uncle Gary finally retired from the police department and along with my Aunt Elaine are moving to Idaho, a big change from South Florida. It was a great celebration as we were able to see so many of my Aunts and Uncles (my mom has 5 sisters and 1 brother) and several Cousins that we don't see very often. Relatives came in from all over and the kids were the hit of the party.

Beach time
After the parties were over we tried to spend as much time as possible at the beach and visiting with our friends. We really miss the beach town we lived in before we jumped across the pond and the good friends we made. We were lucky our condo was within walking distance of some good friends who just had boy number 3. We ended up seeing them just about every day for visits to the beach, Lion Country Safari or just the local playground. We did hit an amazing food truck extravaganza night at downtown Abacoa. The variety of food was so overwhelming it blew my mind and I just couldn't decide. So I ended up tasting everyones then getting delicious pumpkin donuts in the end. So worth it.

Kids canoeing
Erik and I got out for some fun date nights and even saw a movie while we were there. We took the kids canoeing at Riverbend Park on the Loxahatchee River with our good friend Kristin. The Carraways came down for a rainy beach day and we managed to visit the Sea Turtle place and the local playground with friends. After Erik left we spent a few more days in Jupiter before heading back to Orlando. We had a fun girls day out that included Alison's first mani/pedi and a delicious lunch at Leftovers Cafe. I took the kids to my old office to see my friends there. It happened to be the monthly birthday celebration so they thought work was pretty awesome. We spent several days at the pool where I learned that Alison can swim. Guess those slow Swiss swim lessons paid off after all.
We really had a great time in Jupiter. We miss all our friends there, the warm weather, the seafood and the beautiful beach. Maybe one day we will be back.
